Do I have to pay to use Newbreeds?

No. Signing up and logging catches is free, forever — including the automatic capture of weather, tide, water temperature, barometric pressure and moon phase, your own map, your full history, and the license/size check. A Premium subscription unlocks analytics & insights, the predictive 7-day outlook, crews (shared map, chat & leaderboards), cloud backup and multi-device sync, and CSV export.

How much does Premium cost, and how am I billed?

Premium comes in three tiers — Solo (1 seat), Duo (2 seats) and Family (4 seats) — where a "seat" lets someone ride your plan. Prices are set in the App Store and Google Play and shown in the app in your local currency, so the exact price appears at checkout. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google and renew monthly until canceled.

How do I cancel, or get a refund?

Manage or cancel your subscription any time in your device's store settings (Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions; Google: Play Store → Subscriptions). Because Apple and Google process the payment, refunds are handled by them, not by us — request one through Apple's or Google's refund process. If something went wrong, email us and we'll help where we can.

How do I delete my account and data?

Open the app's Account tab and choose to delete your account. This permanently removes your catches, messages, crew memberships, and profile. You can also email us to request deletion. See our Privacy Policy for details on retention.

How do crews work?

Crews are a Premium feature. Create a crew and share its access code; friends enter the code to join (owner codes also grant admin, and you can require approval for new joiners). Catches you log with "Share with Crew" appear on everyone's shared map in real time, alongside a live crew chat and leaderboards. Admins can approve, mute, kick, ban and unban members, and anyone can report or block.

Does it work offline / when I'm offshore?

Yes. Catches are saved to your phone first, so you can log with no signal and it syncs when you're back in coverage (cloud sync is a Premium feature). Live conditions like weather and tide need a connection to fetch at the moment you log.

Are the conditions, predictions and reef locations safe to navigate by?

No. Weather, tide, water-temperature, prediction and reef data are estimates provided for convenience only. Reef coordinates are reported, approximate and often unverified. Do not use Newbreeds for navigation or safety-of-life decisions — use proper nautical charts and confirm current fishing regulations with your state agency before keeping any fish.

What's the minimum age?

You must be 13 or older to use Newbreeds. The app is not directed to children under 13.
